Sample Shipping Information

Shipping requirements are dependent on the test(s) ordered. Samples must be maintained under specific conditions to meet testing requirements.

Shipping to BSL
In order to maintain samples at acceptable temperatures during transportation, a sample shipment container is provided to Clients. The packing configuration for the container developed by BSL has been validated for maintaining samples at a specific temperature range for a particular length of time. Stress conditions, such as extremes in ambient temperatures, have been included in the evaluation. We have used this validated shipping container system reliably for several years.

Both testing laboratories are located by large airports allowing our staff easy and quick access to containers. Staff circulate between the different airlines on a regular schedule to pick up shipments and transport the containers to the lab.

Sample Shipping Documents
Accompanying each sample shipment will be a shipping document that identifies the sample numbers in that shipment and the collection dates of the samples. Upon receipt of the sample shipment, BSL will perform a reconciliation of actual tubes received vs. the hard copy shipping document. Client must provide BSL with the sample draw date annotated on the sample shipment documents. Resolution of discrepancies is required prior to test result reporting for that shipment. The Client will be contacted in an effort to resolve discrepancies.

Samples are accepted 24 hours per day, 7days per week and on holidays.
