Testing Schedule

Turn around time of results will depend upon the urgency and nature of the request.

Routine: M-F, business hours

Class I IR= 5-7 days
Class I HR= 10-15 days
Class II LR = 5-7 days
Class II HR = 7-12 days
Class I or II HR with LR, 5-7 days
CD34 = 1 hour from sample receipt


STAT: M-F, business hours (associated fee)

Class I = <48 hr from sample receipt
Class II = 2-4 days
CD34 = 1 hour from sample receipt (no STAT charge)

STAT: After hours, weekends, holidays
(associated fee)

Class I = <48 hr from sample receipt
Class II = 2-4 days
CD34 = 1 hour from sample receipt

Blood Systems, Inc. has two Donor Testing Service (DTS) laboratories. Our second laboratory, in Bedford, Texas was opened in 1999. Both DTS laboratories are Food and Drug Administration (FDA) licensed facilities. Both DTS laboratories also hold current certifications for the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) as well as accreditation with the American Association of Blood Banks and the New York State Department of Health.
