FAQ: Results
- How confidential is it?
All parties are identified, photographed and finger-printed to ensure secure and unbroken chain-of custody. All client relationships and results are strictly confidential; no results are disclosed over the phone, faxed or sent out via E-Mail.
- How soon can we get relationship results?
You will generally receive your results in the mail in approximately 2 weeks after we have all of the samples. All client relationships and results are strictly confidential; no results are disclosed over the phone.
- Can you explain the relationship result to us?
We mail easy to understand, notarized report of the results to the client(s), attorney(s) and/or designated representatives with proper written authorization. There is no consultation fee if we perform the testing. If necessary, expert testimony is available.
- If he/she pays how will I get a report?
Reports can be sent to tested client(s), attorney(s) and/or designated representatives, not only to the person who pays.
- How do I get results?
Results are not disclosed over the phone, they are sent by first class mail or Federal Express.
- Can I pick-up my results in person?
We prefer to send the results by first class mail. Under certain circumstances if both parties are in agreement at the time their samples are collected results can be picked up in person. If you are picking your results up in person, please show picture I.D. You will be required to sign for receipt at time of pick up.
- Will results stand up in court?
Yes, we are an accredited AABB laboratory and our results are recognized by the U.S. Court System and all embassy's world wide.
- Someone calls and wants to know if we can send her/him a copy of a report. They are not one of the people in the case. Can we give them any information?
No, not without a court order.
- What if someone calls and wants to know if we have tested someone?
This information will never be released by telephone to anyone other than the individuals involved.
- Can we send a child support office results of tests, when they did not submit a written request for the testing and their name was not listed on Alleged father’s, mother’s or child’s consent form?
No, not without the consent of the alleged father or mother of the child.
- Can we release the alleged father's address or phone number to the mother; or the mother's address or phone number to the alleged father?
No, we never release any confidential information to anyone.
- What do we do to assure proper identification before collection of sample?
We photo copy the persons picture I.D., take a thumbprint and a Polaroid photograph to prove identifications.
- I had testing done at least a year ago, can I get another report?
Yes, the cost is $150.00 for the report if it has been more than 2 years since 1st report was sent, if less than 2 years, the cost would be $40.00.
