Quality Control

Our Component Quality Control laboratory in Tempe performs blood component quality control assays. Cryoprecipitate (CAHF), Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP) and Recovered Plasma Frozen (RPF) units are submitted for Factor VIII and Fibrinogen determination. White Blood Cell (WBC) counts are performed on leukoreduced products (apheresis and red blood cells).

Bacterial detection is performed on pheresis and whole blood derived platelets.
